Australia can ride out US recession: Macquarie Bank economist

Well, maybe. More accurately, Australia can delay the onset of a recession from the US with the economies of China and India. If the US recession is shallow and short, then most probably Australia can escape relatively unscathed. But if the recession lasts for more than 4 quarters and sees a contraction of greater than 3% year on year, then Australia better get ready for a rocky ride...
