Strictly speaking, Chrysler's operations currently lose it money and have for some time. The Cerebus' capital injection keeps it viable, but the money is going to have to be paid back and it seems that the terms may make the company bankrupt. It is touch and go now, but Chrysler really needs to take a razor to its costs. It makes some good vehicles with consumer appeal, but its legacy costs, it SCM practices and some of its larger vehicles are bleeding red...and it will require painful choices to prevent death.
