A spectacular and flawless belly landing for one of the RAAF's last remaining F-111 strike aircraft after the nosegear would not deploy. No casualties, but it remains to be seen if the aircraft is viable to repair. These planes are 4 decades old and do not have many more hours in the air left, but their combination of long range, significant weapons load, high speed and overall flexibility makes them extremely difficult to replace.
