Strange: the Pentagon actually NOT wanting more military hardware. And even stranger that here we have a case of pork barrelling actually being a good idea. The C-17 production line in Long Beach will now remain open beyond 2008 with 3 more orders for the type. Hopefully more orders will come in for this highly capable aircraft that performs a critical role so well.
