Not a big deal by the standards of the industry but welcome nevertheless. The nature of this deal shows two things: first, the absolute unaffordability of almost all 5th generation aircraft by many nations and secondly, the challenges that Russia is facing upgrading 4th generation MiGs and Sukhois.
